Our

Mission

At Harvest Church we believe that Restoration is Possible (Psalm 23:3 He restores my soul)

Relationships- You don't need to air your dirty laundry, but when you are willing to take off the "everything is fine" mask and say "hey I have something going on" we open ourselves up to each other. We are true to ourselves and others can come alongside us to help, support, and pray.

Pursuit- We are a place that will encourage and challenge you to pursue a relationship with God. We work to provide an atmosphere where you can worship, learn, and go deeper with God.

Purpose- God has a plan and a purpose for each of us. Our desire is to help you find that purpose and live it out.

Community
As a church we are committed to being the light in community, a ray of hope in this dark world.
We are not just about the church building, we believe to be the church we need to be serving the community.

Jesus came to serve, not be served, we
try to live that out in our lives

Our

beliefs

GodMatt 28:19

We believe there is One God, eternally existing in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ is the second member of the Trinity, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He is truly God and truly man.

Scripture2 Tim 3:15, Heb 4:12

We accept the Bible as the inspired Word of God. It was written by men, under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, is authoritative, and without error.

Humanity - Tit 3:5, 2 Cor 5:15, Rom 3:23

We believe every person matters to God. All people were created in the image of God to have relationship with him, but became separated from God through sinful disobedience.

Salvation - Rom 5:8 & 10:9, Heb 9:12-15

We believe that the sacrifice and death of Jesus Christ on the cross provides the sole basis for the forgiveness of sin. Salvation is available to all who believe in Him.

Church - Col 1:18, Heb 10:25

We recognize Jesus Christ as the leader of Harvest Church,  the purpose of the church is to glorify God by loving him and by making him known to the world.

OUR RESPONSE

Baptism by ImmersionColossians 2:12

We practice baptism by immersion under water – the way Jesus was baptized. Once you have accepted Jesus as your Savior, we believe that water baptism is an important step as a proclamation of faith.

Worship - Mark 12:29-31, Col 3:16, Psalm 29:2

We are created in love by God and in turn we are to love him with all of our hearts. Worship is the way we live our lives and respond to who God is, what He has done, and His powerful love for us.

Spirit-led Living - Eph 5:18, John 15:5

We believe the only way possible to live the Christian life is by God’s power within us, through the Holy Spirit. By being obedient to the Word of God and yielding daily to the Spirit of God, every believer should mature and be conformed to the image of Christ.

Communion - Luke 22:19

We practice receiving Communion as an act of remembering what the Lord Jesus Christ did for us on the cross.

Giving Back to God - Matt 6:21, Lev 27:30

We practice tithing for the support of Christ’s Body, the church, as God commands. We recognize that giving 10% of our income is Biblical. We recognize that Jesus taught about money a great deal while on earth and stated a profound truth when he said, “For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”

Every Believer is a Minister - 1 Peter 2:9

The Bible teaches that every follower of Christ is called to “full-time” Christian service, regardless of his/her vocation. This is called the “priesthood of believers” and means that we’re all called to be ministers. We believe that every person has talents and abilities to be discovered, developed, and deployed.

Telling Others About Jesus - 1 Peter 3:15

Jesus asked every one of us to share the Good News and God’s love with the people in our lives! We believe that it is the responsibility of every Christian to tell others about Jesus and invite friends to church.

our

style

Here at Harvest Church, we love having new people join us and believe that The Church exists to connect people to God. With that in mind, we have created an experience that will be RELAXING, ENJOYABLE, and MEANINGFUL to your life.

WHAT'S A SERVICE LIKE?

The environment at HC is very casual...DRESS COMFORTABLY. Most people, including the pastors, wear jeans. It's not unusual to see people wearing shorts either...when the weather is nice of course.

Once you get here, make sure to get some REFRESHMENTS before heading into the sanctuary where you will experience about an HOUR LONG SERVICE that includes:

   - Three or Four songs where some may raise their hands or clap to show their worship to God.

   - An offering that goes to support the church and its ministries...Don't feel like you must, must give...you're our guest.

   - BIBLICAL TEACHING with a challenge to apply it to your life.

WHAT ABOUT MY KIDS?

While you are enjoying a message from one of our pastors, your children will be enjoying themselves in their age appropriate classes that teach the Word of God to every child from INFANT TO 6TH GRADE.

AFTER THE SERVICE?

After the service, greet one of our pastors with a Connect Card is an info card that allows you to ask us to pray for you about something going on in your life or any questions you have about Harvest Church.

our

history

The church was started in 1998 as a church plant. This church was started by River of Life Church in Cold Spring Minnesota. It was placed in Freeport MN with the desire to reach out the the surrounding communities. In 2002 the building was completed on a 20 acre sight on the edge of town. The founding pastor, Pastor Bob Bernard II, along with several families have worked hard to get the church to where it is today.

Pastor Mitch and Joan became the pastors in November of 2011 and pastored until March 2020.

Pastor Allen and Joelene became the pastors in December of 2020
